DOVENET in her effort and dedication to empower women and girls, celebrated the International Day of the Girl Child with great enthusiasm alongside the students and teachers of Community Secondary School, Okposhi Umuoghara, located in the heart of Ezza North Local Government Area in Ebonyi State.
The event served as an opportunity to engage with the young minds of the community, fostering a sense of empowerment and knowledge among the students and featuring informative and engaging presentations, led by selected adolescents from the Adolescent Sexual Reproductive Health cohort session.
The presence of special guests such as, Mr. Emmanuel Adiele, the Admin/Program Assistant who represented the MCGL State Team and Mr. Emmanuel Nkwuda, a representative of the state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, affirmed the collective commitment to supporting and uplifting the girl child.
The commemoration of the International Day of the Girl Child at Community Secondary School, Okposhi Umuoghara, was a meaningful and enlightening event. It provided a platform for students to learn and reflect on crucial topics related to their well-being, empowerment, and future prospects.
