“UTO EZI NA ULO” is an arm of the MOMENTUM Country and Global Leadership (MCGL) Project which is focused on engaging men as fathers and partners in reproductive health, maternal, newborn child health, caregiving and healthier couple relations. It was adapted from Rwanda where it is called, “Bandebereho”.
To deepen the importance of gender equality in respect home, MCGL organized a 5-day workshop between 21st – 25th August 2023 to train facilitators on how to use fatherhood as an entry point in promoting men’s active, non-violent and equitable involvement in their children’s lives.
Participants were also taught how to engage expectant parents of young children to critically question and reflect on Gender norms, social expectations and the impact it has on their roles as partners and parents.
DOVENET was fully represented in the training and is fully set to begin implementation!
