Daughters of Virtue & Empowerment Initiative (DOVENET); is an independent, non-profit organization working in Nigeria. The organization was established in year 2000 registered with CAC in the year 2005, with the vision to see a society where all individuals are empowered to contribute towards growth and development irrespective of gender; through advocacy, training & capacity building & empowerment, to strengthen and empower women and young people to make them confident contributors to development.

About Our Executive Director

Ugo Nnachi the Executive Director of Daughters of Virtue and Empowerment Initiative (DOVENET) belongs to a new generation of Nigerian women who have excelled in their chosen career through the unique attributes of hardwork, perseverance and determination. Ugo Nnachi is a Public Sector Professional with over 20 years of experience. She served in the public service and precisely with Ebonyi State and retired at the apex of her public service career as Head of Service of Ebonyi State in 2015. She also has Experience in NGO Management and Human Capital Development since 2015. She has experience in Organizational  Development with special emphasis on Governance issues. She has served as consultant to Nigerian Government in the MDG project. She also has wide range of Experience on Social Intervention programs having served as the Focal Person on Social Investment Programme and Open Government Partnership in Ebonyi State. She has pioneered the implementation of numerous Social Impact projects in Ebonyi state. She holds a BSc. in Sociology/Anthropology from the University of Nigeria. Master in Public Administration in 2006 and another Master of Science in Public Administration from Abia State University. She is a Master Trainer in Sexual Rights and Reproductive Health and a trained facilitator for Conferences and workshops. She is An Advocate for Eliminating Gender Based Violence and Female Genital Mutilation. She is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and a Network member of MenEngage Alliance.
