Testimonials

Oluchi Alieke (Ekka Ward, Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State)

“I am a 48 years old woman. I gave birth to seven (7) children but one of them dies because I am poor and did not have money for treatment in the health facility. How I wish this intervention came earlier, I would not have lost my child. I am very happy because I do not need to lose any other child due to poverty. Now I must ensure that everyone hears about this”

Mrs Nworogu Odo (Oron Amagu Community, Ikwo LGA, Ebonyi State)

“I had the condition for so long”, she stated. “During Biafra war when I sit near people they run away from me because of the stench, but now I can sit anywhere. I didn’t know what was wrong with me and where I could go for help. Adding however that, through the awareness program Health sensitization by DOVENET to our community, I was able to know that the condition can be cured.”

Alfred Abah (Ebonyi State Ministry of Health)

I am glad that this is a political will by community stakeholders, health care providers and recipients of health care in the Ekka ward in order to achieve universal health care coverage.

Awo Chidi (Social Mobilization Officer [SMO] Ezza North LGA, Ebonyi State)

This is the most powerful and inclusive concept that DOVENET and its partners have ever given to us. It is entirely integrated and comprehensive because everybody has the right to health and should be able to access health services. We are now free from financial risks

Carolina Ogbuagu (Ekpaomaka Community, Ikwo LGA Ebonyi Sate)

I developed fistula at my ninth delivery and I have been living with this condition for a year before DOVENET and its team came to our community to create awareness of fistula, its preventive method and treatment. I am happy because I have been repaired through referral by DOVENET”
